The Overachievers Comedy Show, hosted by comedian Martin Amini and DJ Bo (Redbull 3Style Finalist) returned this month to a sold-out crowd, with headliner James Davis. It was my first time at an Overachievers show, as well as the Drafthouse Comedy Theatre, and I left exhausted from laughing so much. James Davis did an incredible hour, which included shutting down a heckler. Openers Rahmein Mostafavi, Isaac Hirsch and Wendy Wrobleski each delivered sets that varied in themes, delivery and crowd reaction. FootsDaKing, one-half of FootsXColes, was a welcome addition to Bo’s set of uptempo hip-hop and R&B.
